Fig Manhattan
This drink uses a specific product: a caramelized fig syrup made from California black mission and calimyrna figs. The caramelization brings out decadent burnt caramel flavors that complement barrel-aged spirits like whiskey and rum.
This delicious Fig Manhattan features the product front and center. The spicy notes of the rye stand up to the sweetness much better than I’d imagine bourbon would.
I chose to mix in a bit of orange bitters which worked perfectly.

Instructions
Stir all ingredients in a mixing glass with ice. Strain into a chilled coupe. Garnish with a brandied cherry.
