Eastbound and Clown

The Eastbound and Clown cocktail is my riff on the Eastern Sour classic cocktail. The simple syrup and orgeat have been replaced with clown syrup, a very specific ingredient from the mad genius Blair Reynolds. This drink delivers spicy notes of the rye mixed with orange and hints of red foam latex on the nose. Upon sipping, the complex mating of the fresh lemon with the artificial banana marshmallow flavors shine mid-pallet, giving way to a subtle white face makeup washed aftertaste on the swallow.
