Perfect Date
Wondering what would make a Perfect Manhattan even more perfect, I decided to infuse the rye whiskey with dates and call the final cocktail a Perfect Date.
I used my whipped cream charger to do a rapid infusion and the results were delicious.
The addition of the dry vermouth and the extra dashes of bitters help balance the sweetness from the dates.
While not exactly perfect, it’s still a Perfect Manhattan.

Instructions
Stir all ingredients in a mixing glass with ice. Strain into a chilled coupe. Express and garnish with an orange peel.
Date-infused rye: Add 8 ounces of rye whiskey into the charger along with a half cup of chopped medjool or deglet dates. Follow the directions for rapid infusions found in the Method and Technique section.
