Coffee liqueur
Coffee liqueur is made by infusing coffee into a neutral spirit and adding some amount of sweetener. There is a lot of diversity between commercially available products. Some of the widely known brands are extremely sweet and don’t contain a lot of coffee (or caffeine). It can be difficult to incorporate these products into cocktails due to their sugar content. Other brands, the kind of stuff we like to use, are made from high-quality coffee beans and are only lightly sweetened. Pick a high quality product if you can find it or make your own. There are many recipes online.
