Banana liqueur
The French refer to banana liqueurs as crème de banana. They’re usually made by distilling and infusing bananas into a neutral spirit and then sweetening it with sugar. Occasionally another alcohol such as brandy or rum will be added for flavor. It’s suggested that only a quality brand is used for cocktails as there are many inexpensive products that taste artificial and are over-sweetened. Homemade banana liqueur can also be made with many recipes online.
