Pineapple rum
Pineapple rum is flavored with pineapple using various proprietary methods. Some brands macerate parts of the pineapple into their distilled rum and then distill it again. Others will use an infusion method to get that flavor. Other products use a combination of both processes. When fruit is directly infused into already-distilled rum, it will gain sweetness and dilution from that fruit juice so it’s important to keep that in mind when thinking of adding them into a cocktail recipe.
