Amer Picon
Amer Picon, also called Picon Amer, is a bittersweet aperitif from France made from bitter and sweet orange peels, gentian root and cinchona. It’s unavailable in the United States but Golden Moon Amer dit Picon serves as a good substitute and there are other DIY recipes as well. For cocktails calling for small amounts, a few dashes of Angostura bitters can work in a pinch.
