Aperol
Aperol is a bittersweet Italian aperitif that contains hints of bitter and sweet oranges, rhubarb, and both gentian and cinchona flowers. The exact recipe hasn’t changed since it its creation in 1919. Its 11% ABV is lower than many of the other red aperitifs and it’s also sweeter and less bitter. Aperitivo Select or Cappelletti might be the best substitutes though they each bring more bitterness and a bit more alcohol.
