Tony Rocky Horror

This neo-tiki cocktail created by the prolific bartender Sam Ross sometime in 2007 isn’t complicated but absolutely follows the traditional tiki proportions and flavors. Its name is inspired by a fictional character from the movie Pulp Fiction that was never seen on-screen and only mentioned a couple times by the other characters. I’m reminded of a Mai Tai but the falernum replaces the orange flavor with clove spices and the absinthe tames the sweetness, adding a bit of an herbal note on the finish.
