Orgeat replaces the simple syrup here in what is essentially a gin sour.
There are many available specs for this particular cocktail. The original had a 4:1:1 ratio and the version in Embry’s The Fine Art of Mixing Drinks has an 8:2:1 ratio.
This is one cocktail where I don’t mind it leaning towards the sweeter side and I really do enjoy the orgeat being so strongly featured.
Wonderfully simple, it’s delicious.

Shake all ingredients with ice and strain into a chilled coupe. Garnish with a lemon twist.
