One evening I was craving a Paper Plane cocktail but there was no Amaro Nonino on the shelves.
What did I do? I made the sub that so many folks before me have done and gave it a new name.
This variation isn’t the same as the original cocktail and not nearly as good, but it’s damn close.
What I enjoy most is that it balances sweet with tart, and still has room for the herbaceous flavors of the Amaro Montenegro to shine bright.

Instructions
Shake all ingredients with ice and strain into a Nick & Nora glass or chilled coupe. Express and garnish with a lemon or orange zest.
