El Presidente Redux
The classic El Presidente cocktail is a favorite go-to for me.
A few different specs can be found but not being able to leave well enough alone, I’ve tweaked the classic to my own tastes by introducing a bit of aged rum and going with dry vermouth over the sweeter blanc.

Instructions
Stir all ingredients in a mixing glass with ice. Strain into a chilled coupe. Express and discard an orange peel. Optionally garnish with a brandied cherry.
