Baron Samedi

Created for a New Orleans Tiki happy hour in 2008, this spiced daiquiri riff uses falernum and cinnamon syrup as its sweetener. The grassy notes of the aged Martinique rhum bring the funk in the best possible way. The Bum says to garnish this one with a gris-gris, lest the Baron will come for our soul. I didn’t have such a talisman so I think I may be in trouble.

Shake all ingredients with ice and strain into a chilled coupe.
