We each have our own preferences for cocktails and their unique flavors and they often change with our mood.
One evening I was craving a rum-based Old Fashioned that had a tiki vibe to it. I’ve tried a lot of these types of drinks but on that evening, I wanted something new.
I went ahead and created this cocktail for myself and named it as I saw fit.
The richness of the Averna with its bitter orange notes both compliments and tames the sweetness of the Créole shrubb and the tiki bitters add that all important tropical backbone.

Instructions
Stir all ingredients in a mixing glass with ice. Strain into an old fashioned glass with a large rock of ice. Express and garnish with an orange peel.
