Fiji Mermaid
This drink was named after the famous curiosity shown far and wide by circus showman P. T. Barnum.
The object was comprised of the torso of a young monkey sewn to the back half of a fish and was pitched as being a real life mermaid caught in the waters near the Fiji Islands.
I suppose this all makes sense since this cocktail is also an unusual union.
It’s a mashup of two tiki classics, the Port Light and the Test Pilot and what a delicious curiosity this one is.
