Blackbeard’s Ghost

The heavy clove spices of the falernum really help to offset the sweetness introduced by the fresh orange juice. The standard spec calls for Virgin Islands light rum and a darker rum from Guyana or Jamaica. I chose to go with an all-El Dorado Demerara mix here and it turned out fantastic. The burnt sugar flavor of the Guyanese rum really compliments the Apricot liqueur.

Instructions

Shake well with ice cubes. Pour unstrained into a double old fashioned glass. Garnish with an orange slice speared to a cocktail cherry with a pirate flag pick.
