Raspberry Daiquiri

Looking to use up my homemade raspberry-infused syrup, I decided to make a flavored daiquiri using an otherwise standard build. I wanted a traditional daiquiri with the fruit notes incorporated into it rather than the overly sweet and artificial slushy types that one typically sees. This drink is tart as a daiquiri should be but very clearly tastes of raspberries. This type of syrup gives a more subtle and fresh raspberry taste without being as intensely flavored as cooking it down in a saucepan.

Instructions

Shake all ingredients with ice and double strain into a chilled coupe.

Raspberry-infused syrup: Add 6 oz of fresh raspberries to 16 oz of a 1:1 simple syrup in a Mason jar. Allow it to sit for three days, shaking daily. Strain and bottle. Store in the refrigerator.
