Coronado Luau Special
Okay so I had a few beautiful blood oranges and wanted to pick a cocktail that really featured them. I was looking for something tropical and refreshing and found the perfect recipe in Beachbum Berry Remixed.
I tweaked the recipe a bit, omitting the Grand Marnier in favor of having that blood orange flavor shine. The use of rich simple (2:1) and an increased amount of cognac made up for the missing orange liqueur’s sweetness and ABV.
Either version makes for an absolutely fantastic fruit-forward drink.

Shake all ingredients with crushed ice until chilled and open pour into a tall glass or mug.
