I discovered this cocktail on the fantastically useful cocktail virgin slut blog. What I really love about that blog is that its proprietor, Frederic Yarm, takes the time to share cocktails he’s discovered locally in his Boston area.
Many of these cocktails might otherwise not get a wider exposure. I’m glad he brought this one to us.
Here, the crème de cacao acts as a base for the fruity and particularly unique split base of applejack and tequila and the celery bitters add an earthy umami note.
