We have the people at Death & Co. to thank for bringing Applejack some much earned respect in the cocktail community. This cocktail and many others are featured in their book, Modern Classic Cocktails.
It’s a riff of the Diamondback but is likely more accessible in that it’s had some of its bite balanced and tamed.
The caramel-apple notes of the Cognac-Applejack split base and the iconic New Orleans flavors of Peychaud’s, Absinthe and Bénédictine combine a luscious way.
